 Ellen Degeneres’ Puppy Meltdown.
Ellen Degeneres recently broke down in a tearful explanation of her failed puppy adoption on her daytime television show. According to her emotional description of the affair, Ms. Degeneres had recently adopted a puppy from a local shelter and unknowingly signed a document agreeing that if she was not able to provide a home for the dog that it would be returned to the shelter. When the shelter called to check in on the adopted pup, Ellen explained that the dog was unable to get along with her cats and that she had found a suitable home for “Iggy”.
At that point the shelter, which adheres to a strict policy regarding animal adoption, repossessed the aforementioned pup, causing Degeneres to break down in an emotional, on air explanation of the ordeal. Said Degeneres, “I feel horrible about the whole situation, especially when I know that I had found a very good, cat free home for him. Personally, after my much publicized relationship with Anne Heche, I decided that I would never again co-habitate with another that doesn’t love pussy as much as I do. This isn’t a one way street.”
